Every time I print, it abruptly stops on the second or third page and a popup on my PC says "Printer Couldn't Print".

The printer works fine with every other PC in the house. (None of which are Win. 8)

I bought a new printer (different make/model) and that did not change the problem. I have tried wired and wireless connections to no avail.

Any help is appreciated.

Solution
I've just read some other printers having the same problem. The solutions are usually to just uninstall any driver and software that was installed. Reboot, and do not let Windows install the driver, so cancel any prompts for new hardware found.
Get the downloaded drivers from HP's website and reinstall without the USB cable connected to the computer or printer, whichever is easier to unplug.. The software will usually prompt you to install the cable. (This part won't be relevent if you try installing wireless connection).

The drivers are up to date if that is what you are saying.

I've been digging through the settings, properties, and services for the past hour. Haven't found anything that helps.

I haven't tried wired with the new printer. The old one had the same error with the wired connection, but I don't think its drivers had been updated for a long time. I'll give it a go.
