Is the Corsair hx650 a good PSU?

Hey guys i need a good power supply for my buld are there any better options in the same price range? I want room for upgrades so im going with a 650 watt my specs are:

-Intel i5-4670k 3.4ghz
-Gigabyte gtx 760 4gb core clock at 1085mhz
-g.skill ripjaws 8gb ram
-Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H motherboard
-cooler master hyper tx3 for cpu cooling
-kingston V300 240gb SSD
-2 120 millimeter fans
-1 DVD drive

Yes it is a good PSU. It has 54Amps on its +12v rail which is very good thing to have. Plus it is 80+ Gold rated so having efficiency of 85%+ is another goody. Your choice is good for your system.

the hx sieries is a tier 2 powersupply and one of the best ones you can get. it has good build quality and reliable clean power. here is a list of the tiers

the cx series by corsair blows it is junk and should never be used
if you can give a price range for the psu i might be able to find a different one for cheaper

Yes the Corsair HX 650 Is Actually A tier 2 unit just bellow the very expensive tier 1 PSUs
