Okay so for the past week or so, my internet has been having major issues. There would be moments of time where the internet speed would drop to the point of being unusable. It's normally 15 down/1.5 up, but at random periods of times it would drop to like 300 ping, 0.10 down/0.01 up (Not exactly but basically to the point where it wouldn't even open up Google most of the time). The internet would stay this way for 5-15 minutes.
At first I thought it was my internet going out but when this happened, none of the computers would disconnect from the internet (Bottom right would still show full bars/Connected to router), and all the lights on the AT&T U-Verse modem were still lit. I was also able to use the ping command in cmd, but it would have a result of like 300 ms and sometimes time out.
I'm not sure what the problem is. I want to say it's not a virus because all our computers have been scanned with McAfee Antivirus (Is there a surefire way to tell if it's not a virus? We have like 5 computers in the household so running multiple scans with different software would be annoying).
Also, if anyone needs more information, I'm able to check the logs on my router. I checked them myself but really couldn't understand what they meant or if the things in it meant anything signifigant.
Extra Note: Whenever this happens, I'm usually playing a game and it starts out just having bad ping in game to roughly ~300ms. Then it starts stuttering and then finally I disconnect from the game. That happens over the course of a minute or two.
Another Extra Note: One time, I temporarily fixed the problem by unplugging and replugging my modem. It fixed it for like a minute, but then it dropped back down instantly.
