Why do people not use Tv's as monitors

Random question i know but im just curious why do people not use televisions are monitors? i mean ive seen televisions that are the same size as say for instance a 27inch monitor for half the price with more Hzs etc...

So my question is why? is there a reason behind why monitors are prefered even tho they are twice as much price for less sometimes?

Maybe space saver,and not all people have those high end card with crossfire sli to play on a big hd display unless its ok with you to play a game in a large tv screen with those blocky muddy image.

I use my tv as a monitor for streaming all the time by the way. I just have it connected by hdmi.

I usually use it to stream something, while i game.

also if you have a gaming rig input lag is horrible with tvs. horrible response time

they also have really expensive 42/55 in monitors as well
