be quiet! PowerZone or Seasonic G Series 650W

Hi people,

After reading lots of articles about PSU I have come down to the above two, price difference is only £10...

I want a quality PSU and QUIET, just want something decent for future upgrade (gtx titan...) I don't like nor do SLI so I got to the conclusion that 650W is plenty of power.

I know Seasonic is a bespoke brand but reading reviews on Kitguru they are pretty similar.

I want to pick one of the two

PS. typing with tablets is awful

the seasonic is a tier 2 as the powerzone isnt on the list bbut if it is the same build quality as the dark series is a tier 3
i would go with the g series

it's a good match between the two reading reviews with the BeQuiet...being quiet and seasonic having slightly more stable output....

if your planning on overclocking you want the most stable output on your 12v rail as possible. being quiet is a good thing too but it also might mean it wont get cooled as well and when it starts being hot it might create shutdowns, worst case scenario...the psu was in test conditions when you read about it not a 24/7 config like your system will be.

thanks bad kitty...I generally don't do over clock

I did a mini itx gaming rig and my CPU will be OK for a long while then I'll upgrade to i7 if needed

The Power Zone is a very good power supply made by one of the best FSP , would also be a good purchase.

Corsair RM Series RM 650 '80+ Gold' 650W Power Supply (CP-9020054-UK)

same tier as seasonic g series... seems good noise wise...what do you think?

the ironic part is, none of these PSU's you listed here are noted for being particularly noisey so I doubt any will cause you a problem.

That said, The RM series was made with noise concious users in mind so may be the best bit.

yep I am reading about the RM just puzzled as there is no 5v working on the ATX connector apparently

yes either of these are good choices but you wanted an opinion and imo you should try to get the best for your money especially in psu
