Hey,
I am having a problem with my Asus monitor. The problem is, is that when I start up my computer, the display goes on and I see the 'starting up windows' screen. After that, the screen SOMETIMES goes completely black and I can hear the log in screen sound through my headphones. The only way to fix this is for me to either unplug the HDMI cable and plug it back in. Or, I have to plug the HDMI cable into another monitor and then replug it into the one I want to use (The one going black at start up). This usually works. Turning off the power supply of the monitor does not work. It;s as if it loses signal at log in, but I have no idea why.
Once I have logged in, the monitor works like a charm. I have had no issues apart from this. What could be the problem? Could the monitor not be receiving signal at log in?
Thanks all!

>>Edit<<
I have looked at the tutorials. Those are not my problems. What happens to my monitor is it is fine until after 'starting windows' and then the screen turns black. I can only fix this by unplugging the hdmi and putting it into another monitor which it works for this screen, then replug back to my actual monitor and it works fine with no problems until next shutdown. I've noticed I can restart my computer with no problems, but if the PC is left turned completely off for a long time (e.g. overnight) the problem happens again.
