Asus Xonar Phoebus Pop sound

The sound card gives me a "k" / "kkhe" sound when starting up. Just like some lamp is shorting out. That happens motherboard logo and during the windows logo. It happens once on startup and once when turning the pc off.

My other parts are:
3X4GB 1666mhz Corsair Vegeance RAM
FX 6100 AM3+ Proccessor
1TB Seagate HDD
256 MB Intel SSD
Geforce GTX 770 2GB
700W Bronze Certified PSU
Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P, Socket-AM3+

Any ideas? This might be normal for this card. As the sound quality and everything else works. I am just worried that this might damage my hardware.

I have the Asus Xonar DX and I get the same sound when starting and turning off my computer, I've done research and apparently this is normal and happens to everybody.

i dont know if this helps but i had a sound system (creative 2.1) setup that did the same thing then after the shutdown hissing noise you could hear the base cut off with a thump. that was with onboard audio. the only troubleshoooting advice i could suggest is to see if you hook them into your i/o audio jacks to see if they still do it....it would at least rule out the phoebus
