I have the same problem, Windows 7 will not boot or install. I can get windows 8/10 to install but when I try and install 7 it's like I don't even have a disk in the drive. Here is hoping someone has an answer!
My Specs
Asus Sabertooth 990fx 2.0
AMD FX8350
2 EVGA gtx 680 2gb SLI
Corsair TX750 psu
LG Blu-Ray

I would try getting windows 7 installed from some other pc by just connecting your hard disk to it's motherboard. Do not enter the product key until you have connected back to your motherboard. Just give it a try, hopefully it works.

Yeah, I have tried that. I was thinking that the 990fx was not windows 7 compatible, but every data sheet I find says it is. Maybe the documentation is just wrong. Asus has just issued a new BIOS update. I am going to update to that and see if there is any change. I'll keep everyone posted.

I found 2 other people suffering same issue but they were using their hdd in RAID & it didn't let them complete windows 7 installation. Anyway good luck.
