There have been 1000s of questions asked on same topic. So I would make you a brief answer. Mostly on the games which use 8 cores, fx 8350=4670k, It may even outperform 4670k because of 8 physical cores. But it is only as good as 4670k on 8 threaded games or applications. In the near future all the games will be 8 threaded. So, here it is.

Reasons to buy fx 8350 :
Has physical 8 cores so it is better in Multitasking.
better in video editing.
better in streaming.
Is favorable on 8 threaded apps and games, but not by much.
Saves some money, enough to buy an extra cooler and oc the cpu to match/outperform 4670k.

Reasons to buy 4670k:
Less power consuming.
Almost twice the stronger single cpu core than fx 8350's single cpu core.
Beats 8350 in 90% of the games.
Run a lot better on apps or games which use 2-4 cores.

Although Bf4 run slightly better 4670k. Crysis 3 runs quite better on fx 8350. So it depends on what kind of optimization is given to the game.
Yet I think 4670k could prove an equally good or better choice than fx 8350.

FYI if you are on a budget pc, then fx 8350 can prove better choice as you can save some money for a better gpu.

the thing is, i'am low on budget($800)!! but you make it sound like FX-8350 isn't great for gaming. i'm going with the ASUS GTX 760 or the Zotac version, but which processor should i go with since 4670k is $250?!

It's not that fx 8350 isn't good for gaming. It's really good, good enough to ultra any game if provided an equivalent gpu. But for $800 build you will be good with fx 8350 and a gpu like hd 7970 or r9 280 or gtx 770, and you will be able to afford them with 8350.

well, my currency is not the US Dollar, if you reconvert the GTX 760 over here its $325 and GTX 770 is $485! but the FX-8350 is $220 and 4670k is $250! this is why i think going with GTX 760 is a better idea and i can buy other components too.
