Hello I just recently built my first rig and I want to add another graphics card, I have a corsair 860W platinum psu, my current specs are a 4770k @ 4.4ghz, gtx 780 (gigabyte Ghz Edition), 16 gb ram OC'd at 2133. Will it be enough to at another card and not need to buy a different psu? I want to add another one of the same non reference card.

Solution
indeed that's more than needed.
go for it.
and I guess the psu is a tier 1/ 2a since it's platinum! the only tier 3 corsairs are cx versions and tier 4 builders so your psu should be a monster over tier 2.

here was shown the full power draw of an entire rig running
CPU: Intel Core i7-4960X @ 4.2GHz
Motherboard: ASRock Fatal1ty X79 Professional
Power Supply: Corsair AX1200i
Hard Disk: Samsung SSD 840 EVO (750GB)
Memory: G.Skill RipjawZ DDR3-1866 4 x 8GB (9-10-9-26)
so to say a hungry monster.

your 800w+ psu is mooore than enough for any 2x sli gpu in the world (those sold in shops not super gpus or nasa or whatever ones lol)
