I have this laptop I`m having trouble with its a Dell Inspiron N4010

So I`ve tried 3 Linux Distros, All Shut down right before loading

Windows Visa/7/8 Disks ALL freeze while loading cant even get it to page to start installing it

only thing I can get working is Windows XP lol, Which runs slow, and cant find all the drivers as this PC was meant for 7 and up.

Anyway its NOT the hard drive nor any hardware something just is not right, Laptop is not overheating No dust fan blows out cold air, Even repasted the CPU.

I took the Hard Drive out, Put it in another computer Installed Windows 7 Perfectly! Put the hard drive back in the laptop starts booting and reboots right as it loads windows. The laptop does not shut down it just reboots when it does this..

What could be causing this? This is becoming a pain. Its not a BIOS setting either.

Solution
I just noticed the hard drive is an older Serial ATA if that matters it still uses SATA connectors, but I changed it to ATA in the BIOS and bam windows boots! But now running into some VERY ODD problems. Cant install Wireless NOR Display driver. It has the basic Intel Graphics HD 3000,.. Guess what?? From BOTH Intels site and Dell`s site the drivers say they can not install, its bascaily giving the error as if I`m installing a driver to something that is not there.. So something is deffantly scewed up here
Hi

Many Dells have hardware diagnostics on recovery partition
Press F12. At start of post or when press F2 or F12. Message appears

Or get memtest86 or memtest86+. ISO image onto a Cd and test your ram
Windows vista & 7 &. 8 DVD's have a ram test but I prefer memtest86 or 86+

You have some sort of hardware problem ram is easiest to test

Hi
If you installed win 7 with hard disk in another PC then I am not surprised by serious problems following move back to problem PC unless the motherboard has similar chipset or hard disk controller drivers are removed before final shutdown in other PC

The next likely problem is faulty motherboard .
Bad capacitors were a problem
at one time
Then changes to lead free solders caused problems
Especially for laptop graphics cards

This gets expensive to replace and replacement may fail similarly after a few years use

Have you tried Dell diagnostics or memtest86 ?
Or both ?

If you have not run Dell diagnostics see if you can find a bootable diagnostics image from Dell
