How to clean Graphics card ?

Solution
If you are cleaning it yourself with a can of compressed air, and wanted to do it right, you would:
- Remove the shroud
- Blow out the insides
- Remove the heatsink
- Clean off the GPU heatspreader and replace the thermal paste
I have something called a Metro DataVac (~$50), which is a blower that does a great job of blowing everything away. Cans of compressed air tend to spray out liquid from time to time on your electronic components, so they require a little more care in their use. They also don't put out that much force, compared to the Metro DataVac, which is pretty powerful. I get clouds of dust coming off my PC when I clean it with the vac.

A hairdryer doesn't put out that much pressure so I don't know how well it will work.

To open your shroud, look for the little screws holding it on. Best is to do a Google search for your specific video card. I would try the hair dryer on cold and then go get a can of compressed air if it doesn't do a good job. Since your card's so old, I think changing the thermal paste is going to be your best remedy.
