I see the azza 9000 and the phanteks enthoo primo can hold two PSU's in a system. This caught my eyes because obviously it is cheaper to add another 750-850 gold psu than it is to go 1500 watts for quad or tri fire set ups.

Obvious questions came to mind though... Would two psus using an adapter to connect to the motherboard not have problems turning on and off? Or would they mess with the mother board at all?

Solution
The 24 pin Y adapter would take care of turning the PSUs ON and OFF. There should be no problem with the motherboard. The 2nd PSU would simply be used for the graphic cards I presume.
