So I got a new laptop and its been fine for a week. Last night it suddenly started making clicking noises every so seconds. I started to worry that it was a damaged hard drive. However, after restarting the clicking noises stopped and I haven't heard them since. I used the hard driver checker provided with Windows and it said it was fine. I also used a 3rd party program and it also said the hard drive was fine. Should I still be worried?

You need to download hirens boot cd and use the proper hard drive manufacturer diagnostics on the drive. It will test the drive to manufacturer standards. Chkdsk will not.
