Solution Phillip Corcoran Mar 3, 2014 The drive may just need a drive letter manually assigning to it. Windows often fails to do that automatically with external hard drives. You do that in Disk Management as explained here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/change-add-remove-drive-letter#1TC=windows-7
