Hey guys. I thought my TV was 1080p, but my PS3 only detects 1080I. I tried using my 7850 with it, but no resolution would scale correctly besides 1360x760 (or 768 don't remember).

I gave that pc away because I'm building another. I want to use 1080p, but they are too small like 24". Can I somehow use my TV at 1080p 60hz? I don't want to have to game at 30fps.

Or should I just keep using 1360x768?

It all depends on the specs of your TV. If it is capable of 1080P, then you can get that resolution at 60 Hz using it with your PC. If its only 1080i, then you will have an interlaced picture.

Buy a r9 280x it will certainly help you to play all modern games at 1080p with decent fps n it costs a little higher than GTX 760. More vram is necessary to play a game with ultra\very high graphics in bigger monitors. Instead 2gb vram of GTX 760 , r9 280x has 3gb of vram. Also it is more powerfull then GTX 760. by the way what monitor you want to use?

Are you using the same TV as with the 7850? Because I'm sure it wan't the video card that wouldn't scale but rather the TV. Have a brand and model number for your television?
