Hello, just wondering which would give more bang for the buck, thanks to all that respond.

IMO, the Xeon would be the better buy, considering the internal graphics of the 4570 would go to waste with the GTX-770, and that it is not that much higher price-wise. i just wanted to get the community's opinion on the matter. thank you in advance.

Mainly used for Gaming, Internet usage, Possible Video editing.

Stock, the 1230v3 is a better choice for multithreaded workloads such as video rendering. But most games don't use that many threads so it would get similar performance as a 4570 which is $50 less. Ocing a 4670k could get you similar mutlithreaded performance and of course much better single threaded performance that would benefit games. A 4670k is similar price to a 1230v3 so the i5 would be the best choice if ocing.

okay, and would you say that it would be worth the price increase to go for the 4670 or 4670k over the 4570?

I have a Xeon e3 1230v3 paired up with a gtx 770 and it runs basically all my games at max settings, but I bought it because it has hyper threading which helps when I render videos. If your using your PC for mainly gaming then the 4570 or 4670k would be the better choice.

Definitely get a 4670K over any of the rest for gaming. Even if you don't plan on OC'ing, in a few years time when your CPU isn't quite good enough you'll be so glad of that big chunk of unlockable potential for a smallish investment now. Plus overclocking is a piece of cake with recent intel CPUs.
