Hi, Lately I have been having an issue with my internet latency using a wired connection to my Belkin N750 DB router. Most of the time my connection speeds are fine, low ping. But occasionally i will get a random spike of high latency (800-1000ms ping - 400+jitter). this typically last for 1-2 hours but at times it can last all day.
However, when i connect directly to my modem ( Motorola Surfboard SB5101 ), the problem is gone and internet speeds are normal. I have tested an older Linksys Router and the issue still occurs.
I will include two pingtest.net screenshots showing my speeds with and without the router.
Connected via Router -
Direct connection to Modem -
So I hope that one of you experts could advise me on what the issue could be and possibly fix the problem. Thanks
