I recently messed up my harddrive and lost all of my data and had to do a fresh install of windows 7 64 bit. Everything works as it should after formatting the drive and installing win 7 except for when i try to download anything online. For example i want to download the 14.2 beta driver for my R9 280X but when i download it from amd's website it tries to save it to the system reserved d drive which is only 100MB. I can download games from steam and they go to the 1TB drive but anything downloaded through my browser goes straight to the sys reserved D.

My question is can i delete this 100MB D drive and not kill my hard drive, or is there a way to set it so my online downloads are sent to my normal 1TB harddrive.

P.S. I tried to search and find what the system reserverd D is, and i think its something to do with security on windows 7 but i am not sure so i am thinking i can delete it but i wanted to ask here first.

Solution
Do not delete the 100 mb D drive - your computer will not boot. You can remove the drive letter using computer management. In your browser you can specify where you want the default download location to be.

Thank you so much for the information, it would have been terrible if i lost all of my data again. I really dont care if the sys reserved D shows up, i just need my downloads not to go into it.

EDIT:I just found in the advanced settings in chrome it had the download path set to the sys res D drive, i changed it to send them to my C drive and now all is good with my system, thanks again for the help, i truly appreciate it:)
