can surf web can't connect to any game server

okay so i had this problem and i know that if you have a router that is built into your modem (most companies give these out now) all you need to do it reboot the modem its that simple and it will give you another ip

2 computers in the house connected to the same router but one can connect to game servers and one cant connect to game servers can you explain why this is happening? and help me fix it?

i'm sure you fixed your problem, but thats usually the cause of both computers assuming the same ip, since all computers in a lan have almost the same ip but the last couple digits are different, try ether setting a static ip or rebooting a couple times.
