So I just hit 4.74Ghz and it's IBT stable, still gotta put it through the usual 24hr Prime95 cycle to make sure but so far so good.
BIOS Settings (Asus Sabertooth 990FX Rev1):
22.5x210Mhz
1.38v Core
All other voltages - Auto
Turbo - Disabled
APM - Disabled
CnQ, C6, C1E - Disabled
CPU LLC - Ultra High
CPU/NB LLC - High
CPU Current - 130%
CPU/NB Current - 120%
CPU Power Phase Control - Extreme
So do y'all think 62C at load is a decently safe load temperature? I know the thermal throttle threshold (alliteration!) is 70C so I'm not worried about that. It never breaks 55C when gaming or benchmarking (Valley, Heaven, Bioshock Infinite, 3Dmark).
Don't think I want to push on from here though--I'm already faster than a 9590 (Turbo notwithstanding) with a chip less than half the cost...
