ddr means dual data rate so 533x 2=1066 that is the speed you are running at currently, if you give me your mobo/cpu make and model i can tell you the max amount of ram speed you can achiev if you are looking to upgrade, and why are you looking to upgrade anyway might i ask?

Ok. Your mobo supports upto 533 MHz DIMMs. That was my answer earlier
Four 240-pin DDR2 SDRAM Dual Inline Memory Module (DIMM) sockets
• Support for DDR2 400 MHz and DDR2 533 MHz DIMMs
• Support for up to 4 GB of system memory
