Hello!
i want to buy a second monitor for my PC setup and i wonder if i need to buy a second graphics card?! I am currently using a GTX 760 SC an i want to be able to play Battlefield 4 on high setting on playable FPS. :)

Solution
Even if you have 2 monitors, you will only be able to play on 1 (3 monitors are required for surround gaming). 1 760 is sufficient enough to play on high to ultra settings. If you are not satisfied with the framerates, I'd recommend to upgrade to a better graphics card. Battlefield 4 is not very well optimized for SLI, so a single card would be a better option.
I fairly sure one gtx 760 can run battlefield in ultra detail in 1080p. Additionally, unless you are going to game in a resolution greater than 1080p, I won't recommend sli due to heat and power consumption and microsuttering. I would recommend a 780 at that price range.

I have a MSI GTX 760 twin frozr and I can run BF4 multiplayer on high settings and 1080p 60+ FPS and singleplayer everything maxed out with very playable FPS.

Well you'll still just game on the one so yeah the one 760 will work. The reason you shouldn't use two moniters in fps games is the bezels are right in the middle of your screen... Where you are aiming. So you can't see what you are shooting at. That's why people always use 3 or 5 monitors so they have one in the middle and two or four for the side

NVIDIA Surround only works if you have 3 or more monitors.

Well then he will definitely be using only one haha. Thanks for letting me know that I will keep that in mind if I ever go to using more monitors. I haven't used surround personally only somewhat familiar with it but I used eyefinity and tried two moniters just for kicks. We still end up making the same point though
