How strong does a potential upgrade need to be?
For $300 you can hardly buy anything worthwhile, particularly when you add in the cost of windows.
You might find a pre built unit for that price, but it will not be easily upgradeable.

i was also wondering if i could use a really old acer 2000-2002 case as the case instead of the one i have selected now.
