Hello, ill start by saying that i've searched and seen similar threads with this problem but no situation matches my case completely so i've created this thread.
Before I explain here are my specs:
i7-930 Bloomfield 2.8Ghz
ASUS P6T-Deluxe V2
8GB DDR3 HyperX Kingston
GeForce GTX 570 1.4GB
LC Power 6650 V2.3 (NEW)
500GB HDD Western Digital

So whenever I started playing SOME games my PC would "force restart" for example: Battlefield 4, Team Fortress 2, Splinter Cell: Blacklist while on others it would run without any problems (Assassins Creed 4 and almost any older game).
I would get the usual blackscreen so there's no BSOD. I have checked almost all components of my rig and tested them. Benchmark test on CPU and GPU, replacing GPU with older (GTX 275, which works fine with the other rig), memory test with memtest86 returned no errors, checked all connectors, replaced old power supply (LC Power 6600 V2.2), reinstalled Windows 7.

Now since I expect some people are going to blame it on the PSU and bash the LC Power brand I should say that this system worked flawlessly with my old LC Power 600W PSU for about 2 years. The problems started about 20 days ago when my PC would SHUT DOWN during gaming. Since then I bought a new PSU thinking that was the problem and it still wouldnt work on all games, but then the system started restarting. However since I got a new LC Power 650W only Battlefield 4 would work for some reason, that is, until a couple of days ago when it started restarting almost instantly after loading screen.

This really puzzles me as I cannot be sure if its the PSU or the motherboard, which are probably the only two suspects left. So if anyone has any suggestions to what the problem could be i'd really appreciate it.

Thank you.

No, I have checked GPU and CPU temps through SpeedFan, OCCT, FurMark they were always normal. When idle CPU is around 38-40C and GPU around 42-44C. When on full load around (except when stress testing) CPU was around 55-60C and GPU 65-70C which should be pretty normal. I also added new thermal paste to the heatsink in case I was missing something.

You meant, GPU or motherboard?

When you stress test your GPU computer does not restart? If not, it cannot be a problem with your PSU, because if your PSU can support stress test of your GPU, is because your PSU have sufficient power.

How much time after you start playing that computer restarts?

If PC restart when stress testing GPU, you can try to:

1 - Connect your PC to a different electrical extension, and if it doesn't work, to a different electrical outlet.

2 - Install others GPU drivers

2 - Get a low end motherboard that supports your computer components to see if the problem is with the motherboard. Don«t use a motherboard from a friend who might need it, because you might damage it. Maybe the best is to buy a cheap used motherboard that you can re-sell.

4- Or you can send it to someone that can repair computers :).

As I mentioned before I've tried to isolate the problem so I used another GPU (GTX 275) and the problem still remained. It shouldn't be the PSU since it worked fine for almost 2 years and the new PSU has the same problem.

The problem is that SOMETIMES it restarts instantly at stress test start and sometimes not. However on games it will restart regardless, in 5-15 min depending on the game.

1 - Tried it, didn't work
2 - Installed older drivers, still didn't work
3 - Since I've already ordered a new motherboard and CPU I should be able to test it within this week. Its just hard to find a 1366 socket motherboard where I live to test it on a lower-end one. However I've tested the PSU on the other rig and it worked fine so this shouldn't be the problem.
4 - I'll see if I can fix it before sending it to someone else.

Shouldn't be a problem because it worked so far on the same PSU.
