Hi, I didn't know exactly where to post this but Systems seems pretty general :)

My question is, today I'm overclocking my CPU and I am using Speedfan to monitor the temperatures of my components and I noticed that I have 8 fans and only 3 are working. Is there any way that all the fans can work? It's better to have 8 slower fans than 3 really fast fans isin't it?

Here is a screenshot of the issue: http://prntscr.com/2xiamx

Any help or opinions appreciated, thanks :)

Case has 5 fans, 3 of which are 4-Pin connectors (The 2 Sides and Front), the others are connected to the motherboard, then we have the CPU cooler which is connected to the motherboard obviously. I think that is the way it is but there is definitely 5 case fans and the CPU cooler. What would the other 2 fans be then? And since there is definitely 6 fans, shouldn't Speedfan show more than just 3 fans operating?

Speedfan won't detect the fans which are connected (by 4-Pin connectors) directly to the PSU. It will only be able to detect and control the fans which are plugged into the motherboard.

The voltage controlled fans won't be able to be controlled so sometimes they show up in Speedfan other times they don't (At least in my case). Fan 1 should be your CPU Fan. I would also go into Speedfans config and make sure you have the fan ports enabled.

And also, what does PWM percentages mean? Is it the speed of the fans? Is there any way to control speed of fans or do they automatically speed up when playing games?

If you can't detect those fans in Speedfan, they will probably just run at 100% all the time.
