I've gone from Athlon x4 640 to a amd fx 4100, I have 6gb ram now the usage has gone down to 2gb.

The most likely situation is that you have less programs open right now (after just restarting), so it uses less RAM.

what do you mean usage?do you mean you can only use 2gb of your 6gb ram or the "usage" goes down from 6gb to 2gb?well if it is,isn't that a good thing?
