In your BIOS, there's an option for cpu multiplier. Bump it up a few ticks until you get to 4400mhz and save and exit. If it boots into Windows, run Intel Burn Test or Prime 95 to see if it's stable--if it is you're good to go, if not go back into the BIOS and bump your CPU voltage up .25v or so and try again :)

It will get there--my 8320 is running stable at 4.74ghz so I know your 9370 can get up there.

You may want to update your BIOS because it should automatically recognize and configure for a 9370, but if not you can configure it yourself.

I just looked at your screenshot, you won't need to make any voltage modifications to get to 4.4-4.5Ghz.

As it stands, 1.5v is waaaay more than you need to run at 3.8Ghz (more like 1.3v) so just bump your multiplier up until you hit 4400-4500Mhz then go back and knock off .25v from your CPU voltage until you're unstable then raise it .25v and leave it, assuming it's stable--should be in the 1.35-1.4v range when all's said and done.

It's weird, your motherboard is auto configuring the voltage but not the multiplier :/ oh well, fiddling with it works too :)

Hello, thank you for both replies. In my bios, it does not say the mhz value to the side of the multiplier, like i have seen in videos, do i need to update bios? i have a gigabyte m68T -s2 motherboard and a arctic freezer co 13 cooler btw. Thanks!

Yup, SR-71 is correct--your motherboard does not officially support the 9370 and the reason it's only running it at 3.8Ghz is because it doesn't have the juice to run it at it's rated speed an 220w TDP.

You can either be happy with 3.8Ghz, maybe up to 4Ghz, or you can get a board that supports the 9370 and unlock the true potential of that chip.

ohh ok then, anyone got a recommendation for a really good board that supports it? (maybe like 100$?)

Usually the max supported TDP, but in this case they say the max is 140w and the 9370 is a 220w part so that's unhelpful. You can usually just google "model of motherboard + CPU" and see if others are running it or if it's officially supported by the manufacturer.

You can also just go to the motherboard manufacturers website, find the model, go CPU support and see that the FX-9370 is listed as supported :)
