hello!!
i want to build a system for my dad!we already have a case and a 330w psu.
The staff he is doing is surfing the internet (youtube,FB), watching some fullhd movies, listening to music and working on a word/excel documents. 4gb of ram is enough for his work i thing. Because we are on a budget i think it is better to buy an apu instead for a cpu+gpu.. so the question is what apu is better for that kind of staff?
INTEL PENTIUM DUAL CORE G2020 2.90GHZ LGA1155 59.50 €
INTEL PENTIUM DUAL CORE G3220 3.00GHZ LGA1150 70.00 €
INTEL PENTIUM DUAL CORE G3430 3.30GHZ LGA1150 99.00 €
AMD A6 5400K 3.6GHZ BLACK EDITION 64.00 €
AMD A6 6400K 3.90GHZ 85.00 €
i think the heaviest job my dad is doing is watching FullHD movies..
also will a 330w psu is enough to handle this system?

Go for the amd A6 5400k. It won't struggle on HD videos like the intel ones and can even play some games (not to mention cheaper). A 330w psu and 4gb or ram will be excellent. Just make sure that you get the fastest ram your motherboard can support. APU's performance are highly based upon ram speed.

anything above an A6 is really just for gaming. If you have the budget for it though, I would go for it.

Your psu is by far enough. Unless you're packing about 8 hard drives in that system, load usage will be around 98w with one hard drive, 1 stick of ram, optical drive, and core components. You could upgrade to an a8 no prob.

He doesn't need that much wattage. Go check out any wattage calc on the internet, his load is less than 100 watts.

Most psu issues arise when a poor quality psu is taken near it's specified load, which of course is poorly labeled. In his case though, the load he is applying is so low that the cheapest psu components can handle it. You are right for bringing up the point though as we do need to know the psu age.
