One of Two DVI Ports Broken?

I have a GTX 480 with two DVI ports. I have been using a dual monitor setup for over a year with no issues but started having trouble with my secondary monitor today. I got weird colors flashing and the screen would turn off and on like it had a bad connection. I suspected the cable was bad so I simply switched my primary and secondary monitor cables around in the two DVI ports. Turns out that my secondary monitor could display my desktop completely fine, which eliminated the monitor or the cable as being the culprit. Shortly after fiddling with all of this, the DVI port would not work at all, I just get a "no DVI cable" message on my screen. I have up to date drivers on my GPU and I have also reseeded it and went over it and all the ports with compressed air. Is it possible that the DVI port is fried?

I would really appreciate any help, thanks!
