then you should be good to go, it is only some that were made before the vishera line came out needs the bios up date. but still when you get your upgrades make sure to check and see if all your cores are enabled and you are getting your rated clocks as if it doesnt it would most likely because you need the flash.

if you do video editing the fx series superior and does descent in gaming and wouldnt bottleneck your 7850.
also the apu is really used for as a budget gaming solution because of its strong igpu core(not better than dedicated solutions). so the processing power of your system would definately be increased as well as your performance in your video editing and has better performance in gaming if you are using a dedicated card. also how do you have your ram setup, is it 4+4+2?

upgrade to a 6300 is not worth it. Maybe maybe if it was just a cpu swap. But add in the motherboard the performance boost you'd get is not worth it. I'd say if you need a performance boost, spend that $150-200 on a better graphics card or buy another one of your 7850 and crossfire it. You'll see a far far bigger improvement in 'gaming'. If you are using as photo/video rendering computer, then yes the 6300 would net you a performance boost, but for that id recommend spending a few extra $, and getting a 8320

lol i dont blame you and fyi i am helping some one with a horrible throttling issue with richland/trinity series apus. it is rated to run 3.8 with a turbo core of 4.2 but when you put it unnder load it throttles down to 1.8 even with the gpu disabled so i wouldnt recommend this chip the 6300 is a best choice for the price range and just a heads up that some mobo require a bios update to run the vishera on it as like the (970 chipset) so be sure to check the manufactures site to see if this is the case with the mobo you choose

you can get it from the manufactures website if you want i can give you a link once you have the mobo picked out and dont go less than a 970 chipset. you can use pcpartpicker.com to find one as it is pretty good for finding the best price per vendor
