GTX 670 only PCI-E 2.0?

I have a Gigabyte GTX 670 and an Asus P8Z77-i Deluxe motherboard. In GPU-Z the GPU is detected as PCI-E 2.0. Shouldn't it be detected as PCI-E 3.0?

well, your mobo has 1x pcie x16 3.0/2.0. it has a footnote saying that the 3.0 is only with 3rd gen intel cpus and higher. so unless you have a 3rd gen intel cpu or higher, it will run at 2.0 speed.

Oh shoot, that explains it. I have the 2nd gen 2600k, is the performance difference between 2.0 and 3.0 noticeable?

not really, i have a 2.1 card in a 2.0 slot, and i dont seem to loose any performance.
