Hi,
I've recently had to change the motherboard in my desktop computer. It is a custom built gaming computer and after construction I wanted to install windows 7 on a new ssd. When doing this i get a bsod. I try on other hard drives and get the same issue. I have tried changing the hard drive settings to ide and raid but nothing has helped matters. I also tried installing other operating systems but get the same error. I have read other threads that mention it may be RAM not working correctly however upon entering the bios info it shows that all the ram is accounted for. When installing i get to the unpacking stage 0%. "page fault in nonpaged area" was one message that appeared.

In other threads there have been solutions mentioned for when the computer has the os already installed but as i do not have this i cannot use the solutions.
I never had this issue with the old asus motherboard.

The new motherboard is an asrock z77 extreme6 if this helps identify the problem.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks

running with 1 stick now (4gb) and it came up with an setup.exe - corrupt file. "The file or directory D:\Windows\winsxs is corrupt and unreadable. please run the chkdisk utility". I have booted from this disk several times and never had any issues.
