Well while surfing the web I came across a method that allows the user to insert a desktop GPU into a laptop. I have a laptop, and was wondering if it is a viable solution to it's current lack of graphics. I would link to the sight, but I am not sure if I can, so somebody please let me know.

It's called an egpu and you're fine to link to another site. Typically no it's not worth it since your cpu would be weak, it's probably pcie 2.0 x1, and the adapter alone is $113 if you go the cheaper dyi route. A commercial product can be $320 and you still have to buy a gpu. Selling your current laptop and buying a new one gets better performance for the same price, if not lower. Of course this is assuming since I have no idea what your specs are.
