Currently all 4 of my CPU cores are heating up without explanation and I don't know why. All of my fans are working perfectly fine yet even when all programs are closed, all cores run around 65% of their maximum load. This all started yesterday when I got a Nvidia opengl driver error code 7 while playing some games. I have also blown out the case with compressed air to clear out all of the dust yet it is still over heating. The only time it didn't overheat(ish) was when I did not go on it for about 6 hours and then turned it on ( this was after I cleaned the dust out) and it worked fine for about 2-3 hours. Any help?

like 50°C and its about 65°C. Just realized my CPU is using about 60%-65% of my ram and I have about 2.85 gigs available to me with 3.38 in pagefile. I have a total of 16 GB of ram. Any help?

What are the temps?

What cpu cooler are you using?

Did you clean out the cpu cooler with the canned air? Fan on the cooler?

Do you have the rpm that the fan is running on your cooler and its' max?

Temp is above

Zalman copper deluxe edition cooler LGA (if I am correct)

I cleaned everything but I might try again for the sake of it.

Unknown.

has your system case tempreature increased also?

If so it may be due to poor airflow.

look at something like speedfan or this one to check your fan speeds http://openhardwaremonitor.org/

If the cpu fan is maxed you may need to remove and remount the cpu cooler using new paste.

Case does not feel hot in anyway, not even warm air is coming out. My fans are running at full speed also. If the heat sink is old and needs to be replaced, does this explain why my CPU is using so much RAM?

Using Task Manager (show processes from all users)- what processes are using the most memory? That will explain why your CPU is at 65% when you think you are at idle. As far as your temperatures go, 65 degrees at 65% cpu load indicates a cooling problem. Your page file seems to be too much for 16gb of ram, I would recommend no more than 1gb. Regarding the OpenGL error - make sure your drivers are up to date and monitor your GPU temperatures as well.
