What is the minimum CPU + GPU config to run Minecraft running at max settings? I have a build with Phenom II X4 840 (stock speed stock cooler) and a GTX 460 1GB GDDR5. I want to build another computer for more intense gaming instead o f upgrading my current one and give my current one away. I only want to be able to play Minecraft maxed on my old one and wish to take out the 460 since it is way OP. To sum it up, what is the cheapest GPU that can play Minecraft maxed with a Phenom II X4 840?

I want to get something worse than the GTX 460, so I can put the 460 into the new computer and still get good performance in the old computer. Also, I am already being bottlenecked with the 460...

It is a waste to put a 4 year old gpu in a new pc.

But I can sell the 460 for $60 and not waste money....
Will an HD 6670 max Minecraft?

Ahck, I misread the question. Sorry. A GT430 or GT620 should just about max out minecraft on that computer.
