Just in case, the build:
Phenom II X4 820
8GB Unbuffered 1333MHz RAM
MSI OCV1 R7 260X (2GB)
7200RPM 500GB HDD

Is the Phenom II X4 820 a bottleneck for the R7 260X?

the 4300 is faster than a 965be in most games, particularly more recent ones that take advantage of the newer technology. for many older games, yeah, phenoms are still faster.

I bought it prebuilt, as it was a steal of a deal. I'm going to add in the R7, and a few other things. Might eventually replace it with a X4 965 BE, but... A FX-series would imply a motherboard replacement, which means it would've been better to get it sperate.

Also, from what I've gathered, the FX-4300 isn't THAT much faster than the X4 820
