cd drive will not open after installing what is supposed to be the correct driver.

After installing the driver it just clicks when the button is pressed, same with trying to eject from explorer, this is the second drive, same issue.

use a pin

there is always a small hole in the front of a dvd drive . Push a pin in and the tray opens

You do not need to uninstall a driver for a dvd .
Head to device manager , find the entry for the dvd , right click and uninstall
rebot and let windows do the work for you

I did all of those things first, not a beginner here guys, just curious if anybody had a good fix for it. My fix was just to take out the SATA and put in an EIDE drive. It works.
