ok so i have an old MES system thats gone bad and i want to build it into a pc using a mini itx motherboard.i dont plan on using it for gaming just for surfing the web. so i have 3 questions
#1 i want to know if this power supply will work for my build IE will it fit in the nes or will i have to locate it outside of the case. also what operating systems do you recomend i use, i was thinking of going with xp only because its what im familiar with. and lastly if i do go the route of using xp is there a way i can install it with out a dvd or cd drive as i wasnt planning on installing an optical drive into the nes thanks for the help

I think this mod really requires you to physically measure the dimensions, think about the placement of each components, etc. It is difficult for us to tell you whether it fits or not without actually being there, even if I was I probably would just buy it and try to stuff it in somehow lol
Anyways, a note on building in a non-standard. Make sure you give the rig good ventilation, at least a fan and some holes for exhaust or intake would be nice. In addition, make sure your motherboard doesn't end up touching other metals other than the places directly underneath those standoff holes.
What power supply are you referring to?
I would go with any OS that you can find within your price range, you can even run Linux if you want free ones.
You can install Windows XP via installing the ISO file onto an USB and then use the USB to install it, you can also do that for Linux and every OS pretty much.
