Looking to build a new PC that will be able to run games for quite a bit at pretty high settings (dayz/cs/titanfall)

I dont need an OS or Monitor or peripherals (KB/mouse)

I do have an OLD HP (04-06ish area) that has a dvd burner - will I be able to pull that or should I look for a new one?

I also have a microcenter nearby so I can go there for a mobo/cpu bundle.

I would like to stick with Intel/Nvidia

Thanks for your help!

Get a new optical drive, since its from 04 - 06 then it can probably only read CD-ROM, and most things that you'll use are DVD's

The drive on the old PC is definitely a DVD RW drive but at only 15 bucks it's not much - it also has a 750w PSU but I'm not sure on the quality or life of it.

If I had a bit more money where would it go? I'd like to get a cheap SSD for the OS (currently there's a crucial on sale for 67$)

I pick the CPU because you can overclock it well and yeah you should get a new optical drive :)
