So I installed my new card, used the 6pin plug and started my PC up. I got no display.
Switched cards. installed the latest BIOS for my Asrock z77 extreme 4 switched back to new card. failed to start
Switched to the 8 pin plug. failed to start.
Now I don't mean my monitor isn't starting. the card it's self seems to remain dormant.
So either it is a faulty card.
My MOBO can't handle it (i got the asrock because it came highly recommended about a year ago. then people started to shun it because apparently they started to realize it wasn't all it was said to be.)
or my 550 watt PSU isn't enough.
Or I am doing something wrong. if I am supposed to use both 8 and 6pin I lack the cables for both at once.
