.android folder and daemonprocess.txt found in user folder

Hey guys,

I'd appreciate some help figuring out a few things. I don't usually check my user folder but I found this:

Is this safe or normal? Why is it there? Is it okay to delete them and if so what will I lose, gain, benefit from doing so?

My computer is working fine but I'm always leery about anything that "just pops up".

Thanks,

Justin S.

Thanks for responding. I haven't connected my android to this pc. The only thing that is app like in nature that I have utilized lately is the Windows Skydrive (I guess to be accurate, now called Onedrive). That would be a relief. Does the daemonprocess.txt have anything to do with that as well? I just hate seeing things I didn't actively place, you know!

Yeah, my gf and I both use the samsung s2, I also have an asus transformer tf700t tablet, and work just gave me an ipad. I deleted it and have restarted and even shut down a few times (cleaning fans, filters, etc) and both are gone for now. Hopefully it stays that way. It just makes me wonder how the heck it gets on there. Do android apps act like temp and cache files and just randomly pop up when needed? Is it the windows store or a google chrome thing maybe? That's my new focus atm.

Hi. I have found this exact same thing on my computer. All appear to be created in same time frame, within mins of each other. Also, I came across a mobogenie folder in my documents. I'm not the sole user of my PC but I'm not aware of any one who has an android in my home?
Is this definitely created by an android device? Is it possible that maybe there was an android hooked to my PC without my knowledge?
Would this happen by connecting device with USB or could this also be created wirelessly over my wifi? Please help!! Any and all comments appreciated.

I updated camstudio back in January and got mobogenie which was a total pita (pain in the @$$). I unchecked any added downloads and I still got it. It had nasty pop ups etc. I restored, ran malwarebytes, hitman pro, etc. It was some work to make sure it was dead and gone. Perhaps it has something to do with that. I'm the only user on my rig so I knew exactly where that came from. I'm not sure if this is related but it doesn't sound unreasonable.
This all said, I went ahead and deleted the .android folder and daemonprocess.txt and since then have not seen it back. I'm wondering now how well mobogenie was actually removed or not?

I had it too! I opened the .android folder and it contained nothing. Had some nasty adware on my PC, including Bubbledock. Is your MoboGenie folder still left on the system?
