Dear community,

I have a Gateway GT 5220
Micro-BTX

Currently the Stats are:

Processor: AMD Athlon 64 x2 Processor 3800 + 2x64

(I was thinking of purchasing a
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ 1 MB x2 Skt AM2 Dual-Core CPU AD05200IAA5D0)
http://www.skyline-eng.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=6181

I also will be buying a new Heatsink with fan for the processor
http://www.skyline-eng.com/index.cfm/product/6213/socket-am2-heat-sink-with-fan---cooler-master---new.cfm

and obviously some heatsink thermal paste =)

Memory: 2x 1Gig DDR2 (only 1.36Gig addressed)

Graphics: Open PCIe slot (x2 i think)
Currently has the onboard GeForce standard on the mobo

I would like to upgrade the Graphics but am finding it hard to find a graphics card that will still work this comp set up.)
was going to do a NVIDIA GeForce GT 330 2GB DDR2 PCI Express (PCIe) but none are in stock anywhere. =/

HDD: I recently installed a 1 terabyte HDD
Eventually I wish to add a 3 Terabyte HDD

Audio:
recently installed a PCI Express
Sound Blaster Recon 3D Fatal1ty
Champ1on Series (currently turned off)

(currently usage of this sound drive runs my CPU over by .2 GHz hence my wanting to upgrade the CPU.)

My main goal with this computer is for Audio and (moderate to high) Video.

I'd like to set this computer up as a music/movie computer. =)

any help would be appreciated; thank you =)

I would agree with picking the 330 card. With that being said, I would say that adding more money to this build is probably not worth it considering the parts you are adding are obsolete by 3-4 years. If you could even make a $400 budget build, it would yield great preformance benefits.
