Gigabyte(GA-970A-DS3P ) vs MSI(970A-G43) for FX-8320

Solution
no SLI option for either of those boards, only Crossfire. If you want SLI, go for a 990FX chipset.

I would take the Gigabyte board because of preference, quality and all.

Gigabyte 970 boards are good for 8 core AMD CPU's, so don't go MSI ever.

And will be supported on a 600 watt PSU no matter the graphics card, but for SLI, you'd want more watts for sure.

If you want SLI: You'd want this:
ASRock 990FX Extreme3

never use msi 970 chipset boards they had problems in the past and if im correct its the exact board you wish to use, the thing was msi board vrm is not able to feed the voltage to a 8core cpu, even though its supported in there mobo site, so it copes with it by constantly telling the vrm its overheating and throttling the cpu, doesnt matter if its load or not

k thanks :) guess i'll go with gigabyte for now...i'll get a new mobo when i sli next year maybe :p
both your answers are really helpful ....dint know which to choose so ...who ever came first.... :p
Ty a lot :))

Well, The gigabyte is better. But in the long run, it would be cheaper to get the motherboard i linked now, as there isn't a point in buying one now then next year just replacing it. The 990FX also has a better chance of supporting next-gen CPU's by AMD, which is also great to know. The 990FX boards come with lots of advantages also, CPU performance is also a one of those factors.
