Hey guys, so I'm going to be building this Easter my new rig. I live in Australia (Melbourne) and so the websites I like to get parts from are pccasegear, Msy and Umart. I have a budget of 1500 dollars and already have a reference 7970 from my cousin (for free!) I'm wondering if 280x and 7970 crossfire would be a good idea or if a single 7970 is enough to play the big titles (BF4) on ultra at 1080p. Well so this is what I am thinking

Case: Corsair 300r $105 pccasegear.com
Cpu: i5 4670k $275 Msy
Mobo: Msi G45 Gaming $199 pccasegear.com
Ram: 8gb Corsair vengeance low profile 1600mhz $115 pccasegear.com
Cpu Cooler: Nzxt Havik 140 $69 pccasegear.com
Hard Drive: 1tb WD blue $66 Msy
Ssd: Fujitsu 60gb Ssd $70 Msy
Psu: Silverstone strider plus 750w silver $149
Second Gpu: Gigabyte 280x oc $409 Umart (Getting this cause I get a free copy of bf4 for my friend :))
Thermal Paste: Im not really sure.
Total: $1457

So guys any tips/advice to help my build.
Thanks alot.

Solution
The Hyper 212 EVO can handle 4.5GHz on a 4670k quite easily, don't underestimate the power of that CPU cooler, you could take it to 4.8Ghz if you wanted to and the 212 EVO could cope.
I see you are using my favourite site (MSY) :) , I live in Australia also. I would change the motherboard to a Z87 Killer, as It is a very good motherboard for the price. CPU cooler, For the price, I will always suggest a Cooler Master hyper 212 EVO, simply the best cpu cooler for the price ($37 on MSY), great for OC. Case, I would look at MSY and consider the CM Storm Scout 2, a great case for only $95!!! A great price for over here and it looks really cool.

+You can crossfire 7970 with R9 280X, and will get a huge performance increase for upcoming games. But the game needs to have crossfire X support.

Other then those recommendations, that is a great build.

OK thanks and 1 more thing is it more future proof if I go for something like the 8350 or 8320 because I read somewhere the next gen games are gonna be using more cores. thanks

that CPU cooler will work on those CPU's also, but never convert from a 4670k to 8350, you'll end up losing performance as the i5 is much much better, next gen games still won't require 4 intel cores, that is still a little while away. To equate this, 4 intel cores are as good as 6 AMD cores, though this is just referring to the cores and not performance (The Intel CPU is far better for sure). So I wouldn't go to a 8350/8320 from a 4670k.
