Thief troubles R9270x

so I got thief and I cant seem to get it to run even at lowest settings, i have R9270x, dual core pentium 3.oghz and 6gb 1333mhz ram, what is the problem? on many websites it says it will run with core 2 duo 2.6ghz?

as everyone correctly mentioned you have cpu bottleneck. actually you have massive bottleneck to the point your gpu is hardly being utilized. try it yoursef. gpuz wont lie. i expect a gpu usage lower than 30%. its pretty normal what you experience, you have to match your gpu with a better hardware.!(i am talking about all modern games not just thief!)

run the game to see if you are getting any better performance and yes you do have a bottleneck i think its pretty obvious because its a pentium 2 core thats why especially with how you worded your op that you were already aware of this.

Thief is a CPU intensive game, even modern AMD FX chips suffer because of their lower single threaded performance when running the game. An i3 would be my minimum Intel recommendation for that game.
