the power supply you had listed was a tier 3 and problem prone so i replaced with a tier 1 fully modular gold certified xfx and you saved 20 aussie dollar things

Solution
First off something about the motherboard you may not know. Even though it says it's ATX, it's width is non-standard. It doesn't quite make it to the third column of standoffs. This means there is no support under the ATX power connector. Not a big deal if you are aware of it and put your fingers under the board to support it while plugging the connector in. It's not ASUS' only board that's like this, the Z87-C, Z87-K, and the Z87 Plus are the same.
