screen turns off while i play games. does not turn on again. pc still running

Ok, so i have a problem with my computer. whenever i play any games my screen turns off but my pc is still running. Which is really annoyng. does anyone know what's wrong? so if anyone have a slightest idea, please help me

Been having the same problem. Display turns off after three minutes of games. I suspect that my graphics card could be starting to fail. Sadly I'm cheap and will continue to do everything possible to try to solve it. Will post again if I ever find a sulution. I may just need another card though.

Could it seriously be the cable? Only dose it during games. Definitely worth trying that when I get home though. Never thought about cheeking the cable, thanks. It's just an old 550ti by the way.
