hey guys,
ok ive just upgraded the crap out of my rig it's a :
Asus Rampage IV Black Edition board
Intel 4730k Ivy Bridge
Gigabyte Nvidia GTX780 Ti OC
Corsair Dominator 1800Mhz Ram
Samsung 840 ssd
Crutial 550 ssd
WD Red caviar 4Tb
2x WD Black caviar 2td

now my problem is this the 2 black caviars come from a gigabyte motherboard and are formatted in SATA with 100 games on each drive, the new asus board has formatted my Samsung system drive as AHCI, this has caused great headaches for me as when I go to start a game I get this error " the application was unable to start correctly (0x000007b) so I up dated all the missing DLL's and I've tried a number of reg repairs to no luck I love the speed AHCI gives me
so is there a way to make my other drives run in AHCI mode or do I have to revert back to IDE as I cant even take games and reinstall them to my Samsung drive...... I'm in a real pickle please tell me theres a easy way round this?

Hello... NO... it's a bummer you only get one choice with consumer MB BIO's products at this time... You could install another SATA controller card in a PCie slot and use it in another mode? or use a External hardrive case with USB communication, a sata to USB convertor like this on on EBAY... http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-2-0-to-IDE-SATA-S-ATA-2-5-3-5-HD-HDD-Adapter-Cable-/180550148600?pt=US_Drive_Cables_dapters&hash=item2a09a0a1f8

You could have Two different Windows Flavors to Boot... and Switch Sata Bio's modes to Boot.
