:bounce:  I'm thinking of buying a Sapphire HD5450 2GB DDR3 Graphic Card ( 650 MHz Core Clock, 40 nm Chip, 80 x Stream Processors) this weekend and a EVM DDR2 1 GB PC RAM with 667 MHz and 240 pin configuration.

My system: DG31PR Motherboard
Intel Pentium Dual Core E5200 Processor with 2.5 GHz
Windows 7 32 bit OS
2GB DDR2 RAM with 333 MHz
Intel G33/G31 Express Chipset Family Graphics

I want to be 100% sure that these components will work with my PC. Because I'm buying these online.
Thanks for immediate answers! :wahoo:

Are these parts even available? They are quite old. How much will this whole build cost?

as long as you have at least a 400 Watt Power Supply you should be good, could not tell if the pcie slot is 1.0 or 2.0 so I cant be sure if it will run at full speed.

As I mentioned before they are both practically the same card, I am not sure whether the 6450 is passively cooled or not, but I am sure the 5450 is, and that is a great thing since you won't have to worry about the fan getting broken or anything similar in the future. Either cards won't probably be able to even utilize more than 512 MB VRAM because the GPU is weak and is not meant to run any modern game decently. This is a good card for general use like multimedia and such but if you are planning to use it for gaming then I recommend you to get something better.

With that processor and this card you won't even be able to run it on 720p without lagging and horrible frame-rate. The game already has its fair share of optimization issues.

Nothing at that price point will give you playable frame rate, and you will be CPU bottle-necked anyway.

If you call 20 FPS max and average 10 FPS with a lot of stuttering and lags playable then yes. If you can afford it, maybe it is time to upgrade your entire system.

Older games will run fine on your system, maybe games from 2008 and before. Maybe newer games as well that are not graphically or CPU intensive.

Didn't you make an earlier topic where I basically told you the same thing?

You want too much for spending too little.

I'm fairly sure I recommend a whole new system as this is fairly dated and won't run GTA IV well.
